USHPA's 2010 Spring Board Meeting will be held March 11-13 at: Red Lion Hotel, 161 West 600 South, Salt Lake City, UT - In order to book a room at the group rate of $89/night, please call 1-800-RED-LION and reference our group (US Hang Gliding & Paragliding Assn.) This link will allow you to add dates and book a room directly on the Red Lion website. Room Block Deadline: February 17th - Any remaining rooms in the reservation block will be released to the public after this date.

USHPA Announces a Competition Symposium - December 29, 2009 - to be held January 8 - 10, 2010 - The Board of Directors approved the addition of three new classes of competitions. These are Open Distance (OD), Aerobatics (Aero) and Accredited Events and Competitions (ACE). A panel of experts have volunteered to conduct the symposium and work out the details for the new classes (Click here for more information).

Regional Director Election Results Announced - Thank you to all of our members that voted for the new and remaining Regional Directors at USHPA. A big thanks to Mark Forbes, Election Committee Chair, and to the USHPA office for all of their hard work to count, collect, and to report to the membership. USHPA Sanctioned Competitions Announced - December 11, 2009. Registration information and updates on all USHPA Sanctioned Hang Gliding & Paragliding Events now available on the Events Calendar for April - September of 2010. (Click for Events: April, May, June, July, August, September)

Online Membership Renewal - December 4, 2009 - Now you can now renew your USHPA membership in the Members Only section without mailing in a paper renewal form. Online renewal is available to members with 90 days or less left on their current membership.   (Click here to go to online renewal)

USHPA.org Beta launches - November 11th, 2009. At the fall Board of Directors meeting in Austin, Texas, The United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association has launched USHPA.org BETA. The new site serves as an externally focused outreach and works as a partner to USHPA.aero. Visitors can browse feature articles about the sports, read testimonials from new pilots, and browse the event calendar. The site is expected to be in Beta until spring 2010.
