Hello

As we move into November, we pause to think of our long lost friend Scotty Marion. This most celebrated American paraglider pilot has truly won the hearts of people worldwide.

When we asked for contributions, we had no way to anticipate the tremendous, selfless fashion in which paragliding enthusiasts worldwide came forth and contributed to the search effort. We had $5k in the account within hours and more than $20k total over the course of a few months.

These monies were forwarded to Michi Kobler who, along with Otto Voigt and others spearheaded the search effort. These two men, among others deserve recognition.

As promised, the monies were used for searching by land and by air. All the monies have been spent. We have done all that we can do.

Please share the satisfaction of knowing that we did all that we could do and that we did what Scotty would have done.

Over time, we will all take opportunities to celebrate our friend.

I have attached a photo of the flag pole that we put on the North Side of the Point of the Mountain on an evening in September when a group of friends gathered to fly with streamers and celebrate our good friend... Please take time to do likewise, in your own way...
